Who We Are

In 1994 the Town of Enfield and a group of small property owners formed the Greater Enfield Property Owners Association.  The focus of this association was to help educate the mom and pop property owners on the ever-changing state statutes and town ordinances that were sweeping the state.  The GEPOA monthly meetings create a venue where guest speakers educate our members in the do's and don'ts of property management and discussions involving town issues.  Our newsletter is a source for up to date maintenance tips and legislative updates.  GEPOA also maintains a library of "how to" landlord related books and cd's to help manage the small property.

GEPOA is also a member of the Connecticut Rental Housing Alliance (CRHA) a statewide alliance of property owners associations.  CRHA is the small property owner's legislative voice at the Connecticut General Assembly.  CRHA has hired Updike, Kelly and Spellacy (www.UKS.com) a premier lobbying firm, to help promote the concerns of the small property owners to our legislative representatives.  CRHA also sends its board members to the Legislative Office Building to submit oral and written testimony at the public hearings on your behalf.  CRHA keeps chapter members informed through its newsletter and soon to be launched website (www.crha.net).
